İstanbul Nişantaşı HPV Tedavisi

G-Shot and O-Shot are modern injection treatments developed in female sexual health to enhance sexual pleasure and treat sexual dysfunction. These non-surgical methods, which can be performed in an office setting, are aesthetic gynecological treatments that have rapidly grown in popularity in Türkiye in recent years.

In modern gynecological aesthetic practice, a personalized treatment plan is developed in line with the guidelines of the ISSWSH and ESAGS, taking into account the patient’s clinical complaints, expectations, and sexual function status. With G-Shot and O-Shot applications at her clinic in Nişantaşı, Istanbul, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Pınar Kadiroğulları offers her patients non-surgical, natural, and effective solutions.

Information Note

G-Shot and O-Shot are non-surgical treatments. With modern techniques, they are completed within 15-30 minutes, and patients can return to their normal lives the same day. The effects begin within 1-2 weeks, and the duration varies depending on the application. For surgical options, you can visit our Vaginoplasty and Hoodoplasty pages.

What Are G-Shot and O-Shot?

G-Shot and O-Shot are two different modern injection methods used in female sexual health. Both treatments aim to enhance sexual pleasure without the need for surgery. The choice of which method to apply is determined based on the patient’s complaints, expectations, and clinical evaluation.

What Is the G-Shot?

The G-Shot (Grafenberg Shot) is a procedure in which hyaluronic acid (HA) is injected into the G-spot located on the anterior wall of the vagina. The G-spot is the projection of the internal extension of the clitoris on the anterior vaginal wall and is known in some women as the “deep orgasm” point. With HA injection, this area becomes more prominent, sensitivity is enhanced, and arousal during sexual intercourse is facilitated.

What Is the O-Shot?

The O-Shot (Orgasm Shot) is an injection of PRP (Platelet Rich Plasma) obtained from the patient’s own blood. It is injected into the clitoral area and the vagina. The growth factors in PRP stimulate tissue regeneration and promote collagen production at the cellular level. This enhances sexual arousal, lubrication, and the quality of orgasm.

Differences Between the Two Methods

  • G-Shot: Hyaluronic acid (HA) — a synthetic dermal filler
  • O-Shot: PRP — obtained from the patient’s own blood, a natural material
  • G-Shot: The effect begins immediately and lasts 8-12 months
  • O-Shot: The effect begins within 2-3 weeks and lasts 12-18 months
  • G-Shot: A mechanical effect (volume/fullness)
  • O-Shot: A biological effect (tissue regeneration)
  • Both methods can be combined in the same session

Important Information

G-Shot and O-Shot are entirely non-surgical treatments. After the application of a local anesthetic cream, the procedure is completed within 15-30 minutes. Patients can return to their normal lives the same day. The abstinence period from sexual intercourse is only 24-48 hours.

In Which Cases Are G-Shot and O-Shot Performed?

G-Shot and O-Shot treatments are planned according to the patient’s clinical complaints and expectations. Both methods offer effective solutions for sexual dysfunction and quality-of-life concerns. They are recommended in the following situations.

1. Sexual Health Issues

  • Difficulty with sexual arousal and decreased sensitivity
  • Difficulty achieving orgasm (anorgasmia) or inability to reach orgasm
  • Decreased sexual pleasure and reduced satisfaction
  • Vaginal dryness and insufficient lubrication
  • Pain during sexual intercourse (dyspareunia)
  • Decreased sexual desire (hypoactive sexual desire)
  • Decreased clitoral sensitivity

2. Conditions Related to Age and Hormonal Changes

  • Sexual problems during and after the menopausal period. For details, you can visit our Menopause Treatment page.
  • Perimenopausal changes
  • Vaginal atrophy due to estrogen deficiency
  • Age-related loss of vaginal tissue elasticity
  • Postpartum temporary sexual issues

3. Urinary System Issues (Particularly O-Shot)

  • Mild urinary incontinence (stress incontinence). For details, you can visit our Urinary Incontinence Treatment page.
  • Recurrent urinary tract infections
  • Chronic vulvodynia (vulvar pain syndrome)
  • Lichen sclerosus (a chronic vulvar skin condition)

4. Other Concurrent Procedures

  • Supportive treatment after vaginoplasty
  • Combined with laser vaginal rejuvenation
  • Complementary treatment after hoodoplasty
  • Postpartum sexual rehabilitation

Diagnosis and Evaluation

The decision for G-Shot and O-Shot is made through a detailed examination. The patient’s sexual history, hormonal status, and any accompanying pathologies are evaluated. The treatments are not applied in cases of pregnancy, active infection, or bleeding disorders. The ideal time for these applications is within the first 1-2 weeks following the end of the menstrual period.

G-Shot and O-Shot Application Methods

G-Shot and O-Shot treatments are planned by considering the patient’s complaints, expectations, and clinical condition. There are three main approaches: G-Shot (HA), O-Shot (PRP), and Combined Application. Each method has its own unique advantages.

Method 1 – Immediate Effect

G-Shot (Hyaluronic Acid)

A treatment in which the G-spot on the anterior wall of the vagina is enhanced through a hyaluronic acid (HA) injection.

  • Indications: Difficulty with sexual arousal and difficulty achieving orgasm.
  • Duration: 15-20 minutes, with a topical anesthetic cream.
  • Onset of Effect: Immediate; noticeable from the first sexual encounter.
  • Advantages: Quick results, mechanical filler effect, and reversible.
  • Duration of Effect: 8-12 months; can be repeated.

Method 2 – Natural Regeneration

O-Shot (PRP Application)

A treatment in which PRP (Platelet Rich Plasma) obtained from the patient’s own blood is injected into the clitoral and vaginal areas.

  • Indications: Vaginal atrophy, dryness, and urinary incontinence.
  • Duration: 30-45 minutes (blood draw + procedure).
  • Onset of Effect: Begins within 2-3 weeks, peaks at 8-12 weeks.
  • Advantages: Natural material (no allergy risk), tissue regeneration, and lasting effect.
  • Duration of Effect: 12-18 months; promotes biological regeneration.

Method 3 – Maximum Effect

Combined Application (G-Shot + O-Shot)

The most effective form of treatment, in which both methods are applied together in the same session, combining mechanical and biological effects.

  • Indications: Multiple sexual concerns and cases where maximum effect is desired.
  • Duration: 45-60 minutes (blood draw + two procedures).
  • Onset of Effect: Immediate from the G-Shot, with cumulative O-Shot effects appearing within 2-3 weeks.
  • Advantages: Both rapid and lasting effects, with synergistic outcomes.
  • Duration of Effect: 12-18 months; the most comprehensive approach.

Duration of Effects and Results After G-Shot and O-Shot

After G-Shot and O-Shot treatments, patients can typically return to their normal lives the same day. The recovery time is minimal with these non-surgical procedures. The duration of effects and outcomes vary significantly depending on the type of treatment.

Post-Treatment Period

  • First 24 hours: Mild swelling or redness (normal)
  • Sexual intercourse: Can be resumed after 24-48 hours
  • Bathing: Standing showers can be taken the same day
  • Sports: Can be resumed after 48-72 hours
  • Tampon use: Should be avoided for 48 hours
  • Normal life: Same-day return is possible

Duration of Effects and Expected Outcomes

  • G-Shot: The effect begins immediately and lasts 8-12 months
  • O-Shot: The effect begins within 2-3 weeks and lasts 12-18 months
  • Combined application: Both rapid and lasting; effective for 12-18 months
  • Repeat treatment: Recommended once a year
  • Patient satisfaction rate: 80-90%

Expected Benefits

  • Improvement in the quality of sexual arousal
  • Stronger and longer-lasting orgasm
  • Improvement in vaginal lubrication
  • Increased clitoral sensitivity
  • Reduced pain during sexual intercourse
  • Improvement in mild urinary incontinence (particularly with O-Shot)
  • Increased sexual self-confidence

⚠️ When to Consult a Physician

  • Fever above 38°C or chills
  • Excessive swelling or increasing bruising
  • Severe and persistent pain
  • Excessive vaginal bleeding
  • Redness, discharge, or foul odor at the injection site
  • Signs of an allergic reaction (itching, rash)

Important Reminder

G-Shot and O-Shot are modern treatments that enhance sexual quality of life. The vast majority of patients experience an increase in sexual pleasure, improved lubrication, and enhanced self-confidence. You can consult your doctor about combining these treatments with other concurrent aesthetic applications.

Frequently Asked Questions

Are G-Shot and O-Shot painful?

G-Shot and O-Shot treatments cause minimal discomfort. Before the procedure, a topical anesthetic cream is applied and given sufficient time to take effect. As a result, only mild pressure is felt during the injection, with no significant pain. With the O-Shot procedure, no additional discomfort occurs apart from the blood draw. Some patients may experience mild tenderness for 1-2 days after the procedure; this is normal and can easily be managed with painkillers.

The duration of effect varies depending on the treatment. The effects of the G-Shot last 8-12 months, while those of the O-Shot last 12-18 months. The combined application (G-Shot + O-Shot) provides the longest-lasting effect. Once the effect diminishes, the treatment can be repeated. Individual differences (age, hormonal status, lifestyle) may influence the duration of effect. Regular applications provide long-term improvement.

The PRP used in O-Shot treatment is 100% safe. This is because PRP is obtained from the patient’s own blood. After the blood is drawn, it is processed in a specialized centrifuge device, the platelet-rich portion is separated, and it is injected during the same session. There is no risk of allergic reaction, as the body’s own material is used. PRP is an FDA-approved method that is widely used in orthopedics, dermatology, and aesthetic medicine.

G-Shot and O-Shot are not applied in certain conditions. The contraindications include: pregnancy, breastfeeding, active vaginal infection, bleeding disorders, the use of blood-thinning medications, active cancer treatment, and autoimmune diseases. Additionally, the G-Shot is not recommended for those with a hyaluronic acid allergy, and the O-Shot is not recommended for those with a platelet function disorder. Suitability for the procedure is determined through a detailed examination.

Yes, G-Shot and O-Shot can be safely combined with other treatments. The most common combinations are: vaginal laser rejuvenation, supportive treatment after vaginoplasty, combined with hoodoplasty, and combined with menopausal treatment. Combined treatments yield more effective outcomes than standalone procedures. The most appropriate combination is determined by the doctor following a clinical evaluation of the patient.
